No I don't remember these either. They seem to have popped up in the last decade or so. I'm really drawn to them too, but I haven't had any success growing them. The first year I think they got too much shade and they seemed to rot in the pots. The second year I placed them in full sun. The plants grew beautifully with large healthy leaves, but they never sent up another blossom. Such a disappointment...

Susan, I just keep them in their pots and try to keep the blooms as long as I can get them to last. I do mostly garden stuff in pots on my deck. Sorry, I'm not much help. Maybe the ladies at the nursery would give you some good tips.
