Oakleaf Hydrangeas Painting #45

Love the colors on these oakleaf hydrangea blossoms.  Paired here with some pale pink roses..... HOT HOT HOT DAY today.... hottest day in St. Louis since 1931 !

  1. I came over to comment on your flower paintings, but I got so excited about your post on Murphy's Oil Soap, that I forgot! I am loving your these paintings. I really like how the orange underpainting peeks through. It adds zest!

    1. thanks, Virginia.... I've been using permanent rose as an underpainting lately. I got the idea from Brenda Ferguson.... she uses alot of that color... since she told me about it I use it all the time, and love it !
